I can’t sleep. Again.
My mind’s in turmoil, voices and tunes all making themselves known. It’s enough to drive me crazy, and the only thing that helps is to grab my guitar and go play. Put notes to it and let the voices sing.
So I get up before dawn to do just that, careful not to wake her as I get dressed and go outside.
Hours later, the sun is up, the voices have stilled, and songs are flowing. I’m so caught up in the music, I’m oblivious to the world.
Bella wraps her arms around me.
