One-Shots
“Come on, Jazz, don’t be that way. Tell me where we’re going, please?” Emmett wheedled.
I shook my head. “Sorry, babe. It’s a surprise. You’re just going to have to be patient and wait. It’s only for another day.”
He harrumphed, crossing his arms over his chest as he sat back against the couch. Biting my lip to stop myself from giving in, I playfully tugged at his arm.
He scowled at me. “You know I’m not fond of surprises, Jasper.” Continue reading

“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Flight BA 296 to London is now boarding. We are now inviting those passengers with small children, and any passengers-”
Jasper shook his head, pushing away the announcement as he said, “Sorry, babe, what was that? You got drowned out.” He sighed, raking his hand through his hair as he jammed the phone between ear and shoulder in order to check yet again that he had his boarding pass ready.
Edward chuckled and Jasper could hear the rest of their family talking in the background. Not for the first time – or the last – Jasper cursed his boss for sending him on a last minute assignment. He’d already missed out on Christmas with his family, and he’d be damned if he’d lose out on New Year’s, too. Though if the weather had its way, that was certainly a real danger of happening.
“Bella, where are the-” Alice starts as she rushes into the kitchen and bumps right into me. “Oh! Sorry! Here, let me.” Continue reading
“No, Daddy, like this,” Bella said quietly as she showed me how to knead the dough properly. I knew how, of course, but I was trying to keep her engaged, hoping against hope that I was doing the right thing by following our usual traditions. Continue reading
Prompt: I’m so glad the house is finally getting updated and remodeled but I did not expect the hot, hunky contractor that the construction company sent. Thank God he’s almost done and out of my hair. It’s been a long, hot, torturous summer for me, watching him work, seeing him every day. He has no idea how I lust after him…or does he??? 🙂
Title: Change in Plans
Or can it?
Summary: Everything was set. Flights and hotels booked. Plans were made. And then everything changed, all because of an accident. How can a ruined summer possibly turn out to be the best one yet?

“Bella, would you stop already? It wasn’t your fault!” I pseudo-grumbled at her as she sat on the edge of my bed, wringing her hands – again.
That was only half a lie, really. It was because she’d hit me with her car that I’d landed in the hospital with a broken leg – broken to the point where they’d had to put pins in to put it back together again. I tried not to wince at the thought of all of that. Continue reading
„Babe, was ist los?“ Continue reading
“No! Please! No! Stop!” Rose alternately screamed and sobbed.
I came running into our bedroom – only it hadn’t really been ours since that day, about a month ago. Dropping to my knees next to her, I tried to call out to her, pleading with her, “Rosie, baby, I’m here… Rose, wake up, please… just wake up.”
Oh God… Rosie…
She was flailing, her arms swinging wildly as if to fend off an attacker – to fight him off of her. She continued to scream and sob, her legs kicking every which way under the covers and her head thrashing from side to side. Her eyes were shut tight as tears coursed freely down her cheeks.
