I watch in amazement as she takes out a thermos, pouring the contents into a teapot.

An actual teapot!
She grins, adding the teabags and closing the lid. “What?”
I shake my head, smiling tenderly as my fingers caress her cheek.
“Tea? At a picnic?”
Kissing me quickly, she whispers, “I thought it might be nice. I know you’ve been homesick, and this place reminds me of the woods by your family home…”
Scanning the area, I nod. “It does a little…”
Before I know it, she has everything set for a proper English tea.
“My sweet Esme.”
I’m home.
