My heart beats frantically in my chest, my breathing becoming more erratic as the intensity in his eyes increases.
I’ve been in love with him for years, and he’s known it because I am unable to hide my feelings from anyone. Nothing has ever happened, though.
Until now.
His brow furrows. “I’m saying…” He sighs. “I’m saying I want you, Ed.”
Shaking my head, I mumble, “Don’t… don’t mess with me, please…”
He leans in, head tilted, and breathes, “I’m not. I swear, I’m not.”
